QR code generator

Share a public menu, registration form or information page. The QR code encodes your input; it does not assess whether a link is safe or keep the destination available.

Useful for

  • Add an event link to a poster
  • Move a short link between devices
  • Create a menu or information-page shortcut

How to use it

  1. Enter a full URL or short text
  2. Generate and inspect the QR code
  3. Scan with another device before downloading or printing

Singapore example: Sharing a community registration link

Practise with https://example.com, then replace it with your real public registration URL and generate again. Check that the downloaded image scans to exactly that URL.

The example is not a real SG Tool Box event. This tool does not create PayNow payment codes; use an official banking or payment service for payments.

Things to check

  • Use a complete https:// URL
  • Do not encode passwords or identity details
  • Test at the intended printed size
  • A downloaded code will not update when a destination changes

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire?

The image itself does not, but its destination can stop working.

Is my input saved by the site?

No. Generation happens in your browser.

Can it encode Chinese?

Yes. Longer content creates a denser code and may be harder to scan.

How do I check a code?

Compare the scanned URL with the original and confirm it opens the intended page.
