Image to JPG
JPG works for ordinary photos and many email or upload systems. Transparent areas are placed on a white background. Converting the encoding is different from renaming a file extension.
Useful for
- Make a JPG from a transparent PNG
- Prepare an image for a JPG-only upload
- Use a common format for an email attachment
How to use it
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image
- Select Convert to JPG
- Check the output dimensions and size, then download
Singapore example: Sending a photo with a job application
If a recipient accepts JPG only and your image is PNG, convert it, download it and check that pale text or logos remain visible against white.
Keep the original PNG if you need transparency for later editing. There is no need to convert if the recipient already accepts your original format.
Things to check
- JPG does not support transparency
- Output uses high-quality JPEG encoding
- Repeated JPEG conversion can gradually reduce quality
- Inspect fine text and logos before submitting
